Juvenile Detention Alternatives Help Desk
Emphasizing detention over treatment for troubled teens is bad policy — and new research shows it can actually increase the odds of re-offending, and hinder teen's education, health, and employment. The Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative is working with communities in 19 states to develop and test treatment options.
